GLEN TONNESSEN, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Tonnessen is an interventional cardiologist at Hunterdon Medical Center, as well as the director of the Vein Institute of Hunterdon. He completed his medical residency in Internal Medicine at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular medicine at Seton Hall University where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Tonnessen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Vascular Medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology. He is the founder and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Dr. Tonnessen enjoys cooking and skiing, as well as traveling with his wife and two daughters. He is the Managing Physician of Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates.
LADAN ABBASI, APN
Ladan is a member of The American College of Phlebology. She earned her BSN from Pahlavi (Shiraz) University, one of the top three Universities in Iran, in 1995. She earned her Advanced Nurse Practioner degree from William Paterson University in 2014.
As a vascular consultant, she has been training Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physicians throughout the states of NY and NJ.
With extensive experience in clinical practice in a variety of medical settings, she is highly skilled and experienced in performing vascular procedures including Ambulatory Phlebectomy (removal of varicose veins), and Sclerotherapy (injection of spider veins). In addition, she is highly skilled and experienced in dermal facial injectables.
Based on her performance results and patients’ reviews, her treatment success has been highly rated.
SUSAN CROMONIC, RVT
Sue is the Chief Vascular Sonographer at Hunterdon Heart and Vascular Center. Sue graduated from The School of Cardiovascular Technology at Morristown Medical Center and has 23 years of vascular experience. She worked alongside the first physician in the United States to perform Radiofrequency Ablation in 1996. Sue has been working side by side with Dr. Tonnessen for the last 4 years and is a vital part of the continued success of the Vein Institute of Hunterdon.
