What Are Botox and Xeomin? 

At The Vein Institute of Hunterdon, we use two types of facial injectables to treat lines and wrinkles in the upper face—Botox and Xeomin. 

The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes. They block the signals from nerves that cause these facial muscles to contract, smoothing out existing lines while preventing further damage to the area.

What is Laser Treatment for Pigment Reduction?

Laser treatment for pigment reduction is performed using the state-of-the-art excel® V laser system. This technology treats uneven skin tone, pigment lesions or pigmentation, such as sunspots. This safe procedure uses a combination of high-performance dual wavelengths (532/1064) and the proprietary long-pulsed Nd:YAG technology to target abnormal blood vessels and pigment in the skin to minimize them. 

What is Cosmetic Sclerotherapy?

Cosmetic sclerotherapy treats spider veins in the legs by using a tiny needle to inject a solution (sclerosant) into a vein just below the skin level. The solution causes the vein to scar, harden and eventually collapse, which forces blood to change routes to healthier veins. The collapsed vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears. Cosmetic sclerotherapy may also be used as a rejuvenation treatment to reduce the appearance of veins on the hands.
